- WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERION FOR SEEKING ADMISSION TO STUDY MBBS ABROAD?
General medicine is open for any aspirant interested in seeking admission to the course. In order to be able to seek admission in the MBBS-General Medicine courses, one needs to have minimum 50 percent marks in subjects such as- Biology, Physics and Chemistry and English including Practical marks (There may be some special provisions for SC/ST and other OBC category students). There is none other entrance exam mandated. However qualifying NEET is mandatory.
- WHAT IS THE TOTAL FEE TO STUDY MBBS PROGRAM, ABROAD? IS THERE ANY INSTALLMENT SCHEDULE FOR THE MBBS PROGRAM?
The broad spectrum of fee ranges between INR 15 lacs to about INR 30 lacs. This again depends upon the institution and the nation one is enrolling for studying MBBS abroad. It is also pertinent to clarify the fees largely vary according to the type of university one is planning to get enrolled in, state-funded institutions charge different fee when compared to the privately funded ones. So it is prudent to inform the concerned authority who will finance, about the university one is planning to seek admission in. General Medicine, the course ranges between 5 to about 6 years, depending upon the University and the country. For example, the duration of study is 5.8 years in Russia, Ukraine, China, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus et al. While the course duration is 5 years in Republic of Kazakhstan, and 5.5 years in Philippines.
